The latest trends in automation in the door and window joinery industry, product launches, numerous shows and a rich programme of conferences dedicated to the current challenges of this sector – all of his awaits participants of the upcoming WINDOOR-TECH Trade Fair. The eighth edition of this biennial event will take place from 11 to 14 February 2025 in Poznań. Visitors will be also able to visit the BUDMA fair exhibition. Hanna Lisiecka, Director of the WINDOOR-TECH 2025 Trade Fair, talks about the nearest organisational plans.

This is the eighth edition of the WINDOOR-TECH fair. There are still a few months left until the February carpentry industry festival. What is the mood among Exhibitors?

Although the fair is held every two years, we held initial talks with exhibitors shortly after the end of the previous edition. The opinions of companies operating in the industry are very important to us. We observe trends, we see that this market is changing and that it is influenced by many factors such as individual demand, development investments or state orders and exports of construction services. After years of sales growth, the last two seasons have been quite demanding for Polish producers and distributors of windows and doors. However, there is a lot of optimism. Poland has been the world leader in window and door exports for several years, overtaking China in this position. That is why our exhibitors appreciate the international character of the WINDOOR-TECH Trade Fair. During the last edition we hosted 23,000 visitors from as many as 39 countries.

Do we already know which companies will be exhibiting at the WINDOOR-TECH fair?

We are pleased with the trust of our Exhibitors who declare their participation several months before the fair. They treat their presence at the WINDOOR-TECH Trade Fair as a mandatory point in their calendar and an important element of their marketing strategy. Although there are occasionally competing ideas, our strength lies in our experience and the good relationships we have built with partners and exhibitors over the years. This is the eighth edition of the WINDOOR-TECH fair. An additional important aspect is synergy with the Budma fair. Thanks to this, leading manufacturers of windows, doors, gates and facades present at Budma, as well as companies that supply them with equipment, solutions and modern technologies – exhibitors at the WINDOOR-TECH fair – appear simultaneously on the MTO Poznań Expo fairgrounds. It's hard to find a better combination. We already know that our exhibitors will include: CB Aluminium, Elumatec, Fimtec Polska, Haffner, ITA Tools, Orgadata, Pertici Industries, R&D Tech, Stürtz Polska, Urban Technology, Wegoma. Of course, this list is constantly growing.

In addition to what industry leaders have to offer, what can visitors to the 2025 Trade Fair expect?

These will certainly be four intense days full of innovations and modern technologies for the joinery industry. The automation trend has been visible for several seasons now, but at the next edition of the WINDOOR-TECH Trade Fair we expect a particularly impressive offer of machines and solutions to streamline production. In addition to the rich exhibition prepared by the Exhibitors, there will also be conferences, workshops and spectacular shows. We are already in talks with our partners together with the Budma fair. One of the highlights of the programme will be a conference organised with The European PVC Window Profiles and related Building Products Association (EPPA). Due to the fact that the construction sector is currently responsible for 40% of energy consumption in Europe and the European Union wants to be climate neutral by 2050, the aspect of sustainable development and climate protection becomes mandatory for this industry. EPPA supports the recycling of post-consumer profile waste, which is very important in the socio-economic context. We are also planning a conference devoted to thermal modernisation. Thermal modernisation of buildings, supported by government programmes, largely determines the development of the construction sector, including the joinery industry. It contributes to the stabilisation of sales, maintaining jobs in the industry and improving the functioning of the construction materials market. Of course, these are just some of the issues that will appear at next year's WINDOOR-TECH Trade Fair. I encourage you to regularly follow our website and social media to be updated with all the news from the next edition of the fair. We are pleased that our Exhibitors and Trade Fair guests have been drawing inspiration here for years and effectively achieving their business goals. I hope that we will create the next edition together. See you on 11–14 February 2025 in Poznań!
